Tropical Storm Karen is expected to hit the island causing flash flood warnings to be issued.

The storm was due to approach the island on Tuesday but it is still unsure how much damage it will inflict on Puerto Rico.

Residents on the island had braced to be hit by Hurricane Dorian last month but only experienced light damage.

The tropical storm only caused some flooding and power outages on the island as it headed toward the US mainland.
