Conor McGregor issued fine after pleading guilty to assaulting man in Dublin pub Conor McG | UFC | Sport

Conor McGregor has been slapped with a minimal £860 fine for assaulting an elderly man in a Dublin pub.

The incident occurred in April and footage of the the punch did the rounds on social media.

It has taken until now for the Notorious to submit his plea of guilty at Dublin’s District Court as the initial hearing was adjourned.

McGregor punched his victim, Des Keogh, because he turned down a free shot of his Proper Twelve whiskey.

Keogh has since been compensated outside of the courts and McGregor’s apology is said to have been accepted.

The former two-weight UFC champion made a short statement in court.

“I assure you nothing of this nature will happen again regarding me,” he said.
