Andy Ruiz Jr snubs Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder because of Anthony Joshua | Boxing | Sport

Andy Ruiz Jr was in no mood to talk about Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder as he prepares to rematch Anthony Joshua.

The Mexican shocked Joshua earlier this year as he stole the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight world titles with a shocking seventh-round TKO in New York.

The pair are set to go toe-to-toe again in Saudi Arabia in December.

A win could then present Ruiz Jr with the chance of unifying the division against Wilder or a mega-money bout with Fury.

But for now the 30-year-old has only one man on his radar.

“That would be awesome, but first I wanna focus on Joshua,” Ruiz Jr said.

“I don’t wanna talk about another fighter and this and that.

“My eyes are on the prize and on him, because this is a really serious fight.

“He wants his belts back, and my job is not to give them to him. I don’t wanna give it to him, man.

“A lot of people are saying about 15 minutes of fame. F**k that. I’m gonna train hella hard and I’m gonna win.”

Meanwhile, Fury has offered to take on the winner of Ruiz Jr vs Joshua.

“If he (Anthony Joshua) goes in there and gets knocked back out by Ruiz, then fair play to Ruiz,” Fury said.

“Who cares anyway? You know, I’ll just fight Ruiz, doesn’t matter. One hundred per cent.

“I’m not concerned because whatever happens in life happens and we can’t change it anyway. So, with every negative, there’s a positive.”

First, Fury must take on unknown Swede Otto Wallin on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
