My Chemical Romance reunion: Are there still tickets for reunion show? | Music | Entertainment

My Chemical Romance were the poster boys for the 2000s ‘emo’ movement. Wearing black and surrounded by macabre items, the band skyrocketed into fame. My Chemical Romance split in 2013, but they have recently announced a new gig.

My Chemical Romance – made up of singer/songwriter Gerard Way, guitarist Ray Toro, bassist Mikey Way and guitarist Frank Iero – are back together for one night only.

The band started to tease fans with Instagram images of candles, and other shapes in white on a black background.

Then, on Halloween, the band posted an image of two angel-like figures leaning on one another, with the caption: “Like Phantoms Forever…

“Tickets on Sale Friday 11/1/19 at 12:00 PM Pacific”

They also included a link to AXS, which sent fans to where they could buy tickets to their gig, taking place on December 20 at Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles.

This came after Joe Jonas – a poster who also reunited recently with brothers, the Jonas Brothers – said he heard the band practising in the studio next door to theirs.

While the band denied this, clearly a reunion was on their mind in some way, as here they are, back together already.

So far, it is not known whether this gig will turn into a full tour, or if this is all fans can expect for a little while.

However, fans have leapt to their computers to purchase tickets, which went on sale on Friday, November 1.

Needless to say, they were not around for long and the tickets sold out within minutes.

Reacting to this, the band posted: “It is truly unbelievable to us the happiness we have experienced over the past two days.

“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the warm welcome back.

“We truly did not expect this. See you soon. Xoxo, MCR.”

Sadly, this means UK fans hoping to make the trip of a lifetime to see the band will be sorely disappointed, as the tickets are sold out.

Even premium tickets have gone, sadly, meaning fans will just have to hope the band decide to take to the road and perform a few more songs.

Fans who want to find out if more shows will be available can join the band’s mailing list on their website.

It is not known whether they will perform new material, or bring out their old favourites, but the band will certainly enrapture fans no matter what.
